New to Tax Sales or DeedGrabbing? Start Here

What is a DeedGrabber? What is DeedGrabbing?

The first question I am often asked is, “What is a DeedGrabber?”

Here is the short answer: A DeedGrabber is an investor who gets a deed to (buys) property that is about to be lost to a tax sale investor.

Read my article Tax Sale Basics for a more complete understanding of how most tax sales work.

Can YOU Be a DeedGrabber?

Nearly anyone can use the DeedGrabbing technique to profit from tax sales. Why? Because, as a rule, we do not risk or invest more than a few hundred dollars on any given deal.

Therefore, nobody is excluded from the business because they don't have money to invest. New to real estate? Everything you need to know to start now, is found in our low-cost study materials.

What's required to succeed at DeedGrabbing?

-Must be teachable and follow directions
-Must be willing to speak to tax-delinquent owners on the telephone
-Must be willing to deal with county employees to get lists of properties

The beginner can succeed as well as the pro - because little or no investment is needed.

Why Not Buy Tax Liens?

If you want to acquire properties from tax liens, get ready to wait! It can take years to get a property because of the redemption period allowed by the state, for owners to settle their tax debt.

This also means tying up tens of thousands of dollars of investment for years. Most of the tax liens will pay off, and you’ll be left with a relatively small return on your investment and no property.

Why not let the investors do all the research to buy the best liens, and let them wait for most of them to pay off.

Then, when they’re about to get an "infomercial-strength bargain property", you’ll go to the owner and buy the property right before the tax sale investor gets it!

You’ll hear the tax sale investors curse under their breath "Must’ve been one of those darn DeedGrabbers again!?!?"

Sincerely,

Rick Dawson

I just purchased the e-book. I would be interested in purchasing the study course but won't be able to do that until tomorrow. Can I apply the purchase price of the ebook to the purchase of the study course, since it is included in the study course package. I (of course) don't want to pay twice in this process.

The List Wizard software requires Excel and I'm not sure that it would work on a tablet. Internet Macros can be run as an Internet Explorer or Firefox add-on but again I'm not sure how it would do on a tablet.

How many DeedGrabers are there? Where do you plan to draw the line? If it is so profitable why are you selling the guide insted of using it? Are you compeeting with all new DeedGrabers?

Thanks
K

I don't have a count. There are so many tax sales every day, I'm not worried about competition.

If I purchased your e-book will that be just enough to get me started and that's about IT? I want to buy land and a home and pay all the bills for 100 years and get rid of any possible service fees so I can enjoy freedom is that possible from your view of the system!

It contains everything you'll need to be able to do the deals. Just know that the system is geared more toward reselling the properties you obtain instead of making them your home, as most properties you get will be in poor condition and may not be where you would want to live. However if you're OK with fixing up properties you get, or you are willing to wait for the right one to come along, then you'll be good.
